There were laughs, there were tears, but above all else - there was love. The kind that you could feel. The type of company a person keeps says a lot about them, so, naturally, Abigail and Keegan's support system were the best. I actually left feeling a little sad they were not my friends and family! Their pure elation to celebrate this union really spoke for itself. As for Abigail and Keegan? Two of the warmest, most fun-loving folks I have had the pleasure of meeting. I think it's safe to say we will stay in touch - for future photo needs and as friends. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness, although, I am confidently certain they've got that in the bag!
Abigail and Keegan. Where do I begin?! I was so excited they booked me. I felt an immediate ease in communication, planning, and forecasting with them. When we met, I was instantly relieved by the feeling of - they are a delight, this is going to be great! Afterall, we are going to be spending the next two days together, two of the most personal and important days of their lives! Both spent at the beautiful Bartley Ranch, night one was a magical pre-wedding celebration at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater. Not only did they reserve this beautiful space entirely for their friends and family, they were also able to book one of their favorite bands - The Sam Chase & The Untraditional (10/10 recommend giving them a listen!) The night was spent dancing, singing, star gazing; perhaps a drink or two! Seeing Abigail & Keegan connect with one of their highly-adored artists while they shimmied the night away was an absolute blast....
la vie en rose
just married
the big day
The next morning, I met my Bride and Groom at the Silver Legacy where they planned to get ready with their bridal party. This was intimate, simple, and one of the most stress-free (pre-wedding) mornings I have ever been a part of. I hopped back and forth between their two hotel rooms. Abigail did her own hair and makeup with her best gals, Keegan transferred his vows to note cards. They snacked on bagels and coffee, remained calm and both had equally massive smiles on their faces in anticipation of their soon to be wedding ceremony. In separate cars, they head over to Huffaker Schoolhouse where we had thee most adorable first look. Keegan was so genuinely excited to see Abigail's outfit, acknowledging and appreciating every detail. It was time to walk down the isle, and to my surprise, to 'La Vie en Rose'. Fun fact: personally, this song is incredibly special to me and something I hope to incorporate in my own wedding. My eyes filled with tears. "Get it together, Olivia" I internally coached myself. This was the real deal. True love. Game time. I watched them both brace themselves as Abigail met Keegan at the end of the isle. The officiant's remarks were equal parts funny and moving. The entire ceremony, the couple's hands played - at first easing nerves, then providing comfort, lastly in anticipation. The love quite literally radiated between them. Contagious, powerful, touching.
At one point, all of their guests circled around them. A tribute to the proverbial full circle of life and everlasting love. I couldn't help but be moved by the way Abigail and Keegan gazed at one another, an occasional tear streaming down their cheeks. Their vows were raw, silly, serious. They stood as a true pledge of their commitment to one another, the joy they share and the journey they look forward to continuing as husband and wife. There is no better feeling, from the outside looking in, than to be able to see clearly and deeply two souls that are meant to exist together. Destined. After less than 48 hours together, I had concise confidence that Abigail was made for Keegan; and Keegan for Abigail. However, they make the choice each day - to listen, to understand, to support, to grow.
